DELF- DALF FRENCH EXAM 

Présentation DELF / DALF


DELF/DALF DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official qualifications issued by the French Ministry of Education to certify French language proficiency of foreign students. The DELF and DALF qualifications are consistent with:

  • The international standards for test development .
  • The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) .

 

These levels of proficiency are being implemented by various organisations issuing certificates in languages not only in India but also all over the world which include the Goethe Institute-Max Mueller Bhavan (German), University of Cambridge (English), Cervantes Institute (Spanish) and Alliance française (French).

Alliance francaise centres in India are among the 900 approved examination centres for DELF/DALF in 154 countries, including France.

The 6 diplomas that make up DELF and DALF are completely independent. It means that the candidates can register for the examination of their choice, according to their level.

 

 

At each level, 4 skills are evaluated: listening, speaking, reading and writing. A mark of at least 5/25 is required for each test (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) whereas a mark of at least 50/100 is required in order to be awarded the diploma. 


Goethe-Institut examinations 

are well known throughout the world and the associated certificates are accepted as a qualification by employers and further education institutions in many countries. The Goethe-Institut’s German language examinations correspond to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and range from A1 for beginners to C2 for language skills at the highest level. 

 

 

Goethe-GERMAN EXAM

Effective at select test sites on 01.05.2013 and worldwide on 01.08.2

013, the previous tests for Goethe-Zertifikat B1– Zertifikat Deutsch (ZD) and Goethe-Zertifikat B1: Zertifikat Deutsch für Jugendliche (ZDj)—will be replaced by the new Goethe-Zertifikat B1.

 A Services for companies

Along with its standard tests, the Goethe-Institut also offers the latest computer adaptive test systems such as BULATS Deutsch-Test für den Beruf. 

This testing system allows companies to check the foreign language skills of employees and job applicants quickly and inexpensively. 

Reunification of spouses

The Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Start Deutsch 1 and all higher Goethe certificates (A2 to C2) are recognized as proof of language ability in the new Immigration Act of July 2007 (and for reunification of spouses in the visa process). 

DIPLOMAS OF SPANISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

DELE (Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language) is the official accreditation of the degree of fluency of the Spanish Language, issued and recognised by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain.
The Instituto Cervantes is the institution in charge of organising the exams, while the University of Salamanca is in charge of the preparation, correction and final evaluation of all the tests.

We give you the opportunity to prepare for the DELE test with a selection of the AIFLC  that offer DELE preparation courses.

The DELEs are divided into three levels depending on the language level:

  • Diploma de Español A1
    This accredits the sufficient linguistic competence to understand and use daily expressions frequently used in any part of the Spanish-speaking world, aimed at satisfying immediate needs; asking and giving basic personal information about yourself and daily life and interacting on a basic level with speakers, whenever they are speaking slowly and clearly and are willing to cooperate. 
     
  • Diploma de Español A2
    This accredits that the candidate is capable of understanding daily phrases and expressions frequently used related to areas of experience which are particularly relevant to them (basic information about yourself and your family, shopping, places of interest, occupations, etc.).
     
  • Diploma de Español (Nivel Inicial – B1)
    Intermediate-mid/threshold level  
    This accredits sufficient knowledge of the language to allow control in situations which require an elementary use of the language.
     
  • Diploma de Español (Nivel Intermedio – B2)
    High-intermediate level
    This accredits the necessary knowledge of the language to allow communication in everyday situations which do not require specialized terms.

     
  • Diploma de Español C1
    This accredits the sufficient linguistic competence to cope in common situations of daily life which require a specialized use of the language. 
     
  • Diploma de Español (Nivel Superior – C2)
    Superior level
    This accredits an advanced knowledge of the language allowing communicaton in all situations requiring advanced use of the language and a knowledge of cultural background.

Civic integration examination abroad - Dutch


To be eligible for a residence permit or for naturalisation, you first have to pass a civic integration exam.

A number of foreign nationals will first have to take the Civic Integration Examination Abroad before they can come to the Netherlands.

The Civic Integration Examination Abroad tests the basic knowledge of Dutch language and society. The knowledge is assessed by taking an exam at the Dutch Embassy or Consulate in the country of origin or the country of continuous residence. A country of continuous residence is a country where you are allowed to lawfully stay for more than 90 days.

The Civic integration examination abroad consists of 3 tests:

  • Knowledge of Dutch society (Kennis van de Nederlandse taal)
  • Speaking skills
  • Reading skills

Target group of the Civic Integration Examination Abroad 

In principle, anyone aged at least 18 and who has not yet reached the AOW pension age, who needs to have a Provisional Residence Permit (mvv) to come to the Netherlands, has to take the exam.

This requirement applies to you, when:

  • You have a nationality for which an mvv obligation applies, and
  • You are aged 18 and over. When you have reached your AOW pension age you no longer have to pass the exam. 

AOW pension is the pension paid under the National Old Age Pensions Act (AOW). This is a basic pension from the Dutch government. Your AOW pension will become payable on the date you reach the AOW pension age. Your AOW pension age depends on your date of birth. You can check your AOW pension age at www.svb.nl/aowleeftijd


CILS – Certificate of Italian as a second language 


The Italian Cultural Centre in New Delhi, an official institution of the Republic of Italy, is actively involved in spreading the understanding of Italian traditions and culture in India through the organization of varied cultural events, with a view to facilitate the circulation of ideas, of the arts and sciences.



CILS – Certificate of Italian as a second language

CILS is an official title recognized by the Italian State on the basis of an agreement with the Foreign Ministry and shows a students ability in the Italian language. The certificate CILS is useful for those who want to do further study in Italy or have professional contact with Italy and who would like to measure their own language skills. The different levels of the certificate prove a certain ability to communicate in Italian in different situations and contexts. More detailed information can be found in the document “Sistema coordinato delle Certificazioni dell’italiano per Stranieri, Roma, 1998”.

The different levels of the CILS certificate
The different levels of the CILS certificate have been determined on the basis of the Common European Framework for Languages. The different levels determine certain linguistic and communicative skills. The certificate of each level confirms the ability to communicate appropriately in a specific social and professional environment. The following are the different levels established by the Common European Framework for Languages and the corresponding level of the CILS certificate:

Services 

The Italian Cultural Centre in New Delhi offers to the Indian public the following services: 
    
    • Courses of Italian language and culture taught by qualified teachers 

    • A library is open to the Centre’s students and members where books can be consulted and  borrowed.

    • A Reading Room is open to students and members for consulting magazines and newspapers and for viewing CDs and DVDs available in the library.

    • Information services on every aspect concerning Italian culture. 

Collaborations 

For organizing major events, concerts and some art exhibitions, the Centre collaborates with: 
    
    • Local art and cultural institutions and museums such as the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, the National Museum, the National Gallery of Modern Art, the Lalit Kala Akademi, the Directorate of Film Festivals 

    • Theatres such as the Siri Fort Auditorium, the Kamani Auditorium, the Ficci Auditorium, the Nandan Theatre (Kolkata), the National Centre for the Performing Arts (Mumbai) 

    • Several cultural centres of the city of DELHI such as the India Habitat Centre and the India International Centre 

Every year half a million students attend Italian language courses outside Italy, in every country throughout the world. Why? 

Italian is a language of culture. Speaking Italian means having access not only to an extremely valuable literary heritage, essential to the history of Europe and to extremely precious humanistic and scientific texts, but also to Italian theatre, music, opera, cinema and television. 

Italian is a language of study. Every year a number of students decide to attend our schools, universities, academies and libraries. 

Italian is a language of work. Managers, investors, technicians, artisans and workers get in touch with Italy’s word of industry, craft and services, which crosses the borders of our country. 

Speaking Italian will turn a visit to our country and its friendly and hospitable people, its artistic cities and its beautiful nature into a real pleasure.

Among the main International events in which the Centre usually participates are the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), the Kolkata Film Festival and the Triennale of India.
